Highlights include an article on gender-responsive action in water with GIS planning in the context of India's Water Vision 2047, a piece on bringing a nexus systems approach to its practical application in South Asia, and a contribution on strengthening water resilience in Tajikistan's Syr Darya Basin through coordinated water and land management.
- The Global Water Monitor - 2025 Summary Report, published by the Global Water Monitor Consortium, documents intensifying hydrological extremes in 2025, including rapid shifts between wet and dry conditions and growing water risks in regions not historically exposed to major water hazards.
- The World Health Organization (WHO) has released the updated Guidelines for drinking-water quality, providing the latest global guidance on protecting public health through safe drinking-water management, from catchment to consumer. This third addendum includes notably strengthened guidance on water safety plans for small water supplies.
